Tell us what you’re looking for in a new apartment rental

Once you fill out our search form, one of our specialists will contact you within 24 hours with a custom list based on your preferences. The list will have all the information you need to decide if you want to go tour each property – location, pricing, floorplans, photos, and contact information.  

Our database is always up-to-date and contains a wealth of information that may not be available through an online search or even on the property web sites.  We look for the best move-in specials and pricing in the areas where you want to live to make sure that our clients get the best deal possible on the best apartments available.

Step 2

Tour the properties on the custom list that we prepare for you

With your custom list in hand, call the properties in which you are most interested and check to see if they have availability for the dates you’d like to move. While we can keep abreast of almost every detail of the 1000s of Houston apartments, availability changes from minute to minute so we simply cannot predict what will be available.

Next, go take a look!  Some apartment complexes may require an appointment, but most will tell you to come on over anytime you’re ready!  

Before you tour a property, the leasing agent will ask you some questions, often filling out a Guest Card for you if you aren’t asked to do it yourself.  There will be a line asking who referred you, or how you heard about the property. 

Be sure you list your VLTN Living Locators agent’s name. This is how we get paid, and how you can be assured to receive your rebate from us once you sign a lease.

If you tour all of the properties on your personal list and do not find something you like, just let us know and we will work with you to find exactly what you’re looking for.  

Step 3

Sign a lease and move in to your new apartment

Once you’ve found THE ONE, it’s time to sign a lease! Most apartment complexes use standard TREC forms, but some may have their own, especially for specific ammenities such as gyms, parks, and pet facilities. If you have any questions about the documents you’re being asked to sign, please don’t hesitate to give us a call and we will do our best to answer your questions.  

Just like when you filled out the Guest Card on the tour, you will be asked on the application to list who referred you or how you heard about the property.   If you do not list us on both the Guest Card and the application, we most likely will not receive a commission, which means we cannot offer you a rebate.

Step 4

Receive a rebate check from us!

About 30 to 90 days after you sign your lease and move in, your apartment complex will mail us a commission check. (That’s why our service is free for you!) Once we receive the commission, we will immediately mail you a rebate check. We can only guarantee this rebate if you list us as your referral on both the Guest Card and Application, and many times this will only apply to a 12+ month lease. We will keep you informed of the status of youre rebate. All you have to do is enjoy your new home and wait for the mail!
